Lottery Reminds Players of Deadline for First New Orleans Saints Second-Chance Drawing

The Louisiana Lottery reminds players that the deadline for its first New Orleans Saints second-chance drawing is Monday, Aug. 30.
Earlier this month, the Lottery launched World Champions New Orleans Saints, a $5 scratch-off game offering a top cash prize of $100,000 and giving players the opportunity to enter nonwinning tickets in one of four second-chance drawings to win autographed Saints merchandise or a Saints game-day prize packages.
During the first second-chance drawing, nine finalists will each win an Official Autographed Saints jersey, football or helmet. Three of each merchandise prize will be given away. One winner will be selected to receive a 2010 Saint Prize Package that includes four Club Sideline tickets to the Saints vs. Atlanta game on Sept. 26 in the Superdome, access to Saints VIP Clubrooms at that game, a parking pass, four pre-game field passes, one-night accommodation at a downtown New Orleans hotel (two rooms), a $200 dinner allotment at a designated downtown New Orleans restaurant for four people and $500 spending cash.
"We know our customers love cash prizes, but considering the Saints are world champions, we anticipate this game's second-chance drawings will be equally as popular since they feature once-in-lifetime prizes that money can't buy!" said Lottery President Rose Hudson.
To enter the second-chance drawings, players should complete the information on the back of nonwinning $5 World Champions New Orleans Saints scratch-off tickets and mail one ticket per envelope no larger than 4.5" by 9.5" to the drawing address printed on the back of the ticket. The entry must arrive at the second-chance drawing address by the Aug. 30 deadline to be entered into the first drawing; otherwise it will be entered into the second drawing. Players can enter as many times as they wish, but each entry should be mailed in separate envelopes.
The Louisiana Lottery is solely responsible for administering the game and second-chance drawings.
The scratch-off includes a total of 1.5 million tickets featuring three different Saints scenes. The cash payout percentage for World Champtions New Orleans Saints is typical of the Lottery's $5 product, and the second-chance drawing prizes are lagniappe. As with all Lottery games, 35 percent of sales is transferred to the state, earmarked for public education.
Lottery ticket purchasers and second-chance drawing entrants must be at least 21 years of age. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help is available by calling 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery encourages players to sign the back of the tickets immediately after purchasing.
