Lake Charles Man Sleeps with Winning Scratch-Off Underneath Pillow

Raymond Love of Lake Charles wasn't taking any chances with his Table Stakes scratch-off ticket from the Louisiana Lottery after realizing he won a $100,000 top prize on the game.  He slept with his winning ticket underneath his pillow that night.

"It was 3 a.m. and I was still staring at my ticket thinking it couldn't be right," explained Love.  "I couldn't believe it was really true, so I ended up sleeping with my ticket."  

Love, age 62, explained that he chose Table Stakes because it was the first time he had seen that particular scratch-off.  "I always play bingo-style games, but I thought to myself 'why not'," he said.

Love purchased his top prize winning ticket at Valero Corner Store #1732 on Country Club Boulevard in Lake Charles and plans to share his winnings with family members.

"I plan to help my kids and my wife," explained Love.  "It feels nice to have something to fall back on."

Table Stakes is a $5 game that features the chance to win up to 17 times on each ticket. The game has two $100,000 top prizes remaining as of March 22.
