A routine trip to the grocery store turned out to be anything but ordinary for the Fournerat family from Lake Charles. The Powerball ticket purchased during that shopping trip matched four of the five white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number from the Aug. 15 drawing to win $10,000.

"I was outside washing my motorcycle when my wife came out and told me that I needed to come inside to look at our Powerball ticket," explained 66-year-old Dickie Fournerat. "When I looked at the numbers on our ticket and then in the newspaper, I said 'I sure hope the paper is right!'"

Fournerat purchased his winning ticket at Albertson's #2717 on Ryan Street in Lake Charles. He said he plans to put his winnings into savings.
