Kenner Resident Claims $200,000 Powerball Prize
Albert Leaber of Kenner claimed a $200,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans office as a result of a winning Powerball ticket from the March 1 drawing.
"Anyone can win…it's exhilarating!" said Leaber, age 44. Leaber also said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills, invest and plan for the future.
Leaber's ticket matched all five white balls drawn but not the red Powerball to win his prize.
He purchased his winning ticket at Exxon #51450 on North Causeway Boulevard in Metairie. The retailer will receive a one-time bonus of $2,000 for selling Leaber the winning ticket.
The winning numbers for the March 1 Powerball drawing were 02-19-21-31-55 and the Powerball number was 19.
Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help.
