BATON ROUGE – The Louisiana Lottery Corporation reported $17 million in cash prizes paid to scratch-off game players in June, including a $500,000 Casino Cash top prize sold in Monroe. In addition, there was more than $9.8 million won during drawings held in June, including two Easy 5 jackpot prizes totaling $130,000. Also, Fast Play players won nearly $900,000 last month.
Draw-style daily game prizes for drawings during June included Pick 3 winning tickets totaling $5,916,600, Pick 4 winning tickets worth $1,933,900 and Pick 5 prizes totaling $501,325.
Powerball prizes totaled $152,389 with an additional $325,833 won by players purchasing the Power Play option for a total of $478,222 in winnings. The $1 Power Play option offers Powerball players the chance to increase any non-jackpot winnings. Mega Millions drawings held in June produced $430,808 in winnings.
There were 59 match-5 Lotto prizes won totaling $59,000, helping to bring Lotto’s monthly total winnings to $296,934. Easy 5 prizes totaled $211,153, including the two jackpot wins, with an additional $67,206 won on ezmatch™, an instant-win option available for an additional $1.
In total, draw-style game winnings from drawings held in June were $9,836,148. Lottery draw-style game players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the winnings from those tickets.
The Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing and to check them promptly after the drawing. Even if a ticket does not win the jackpot, it could have won another prize.
In addition to $17,038,658 in scratch-off cash prizes paid during June, players also claimed $2,015,697 worth of free-ticket prizes. According to Lottery policy, scratch-off games are closed when all top prizes are claimed, and scratch-off players have 90 days from the official game closure date to redeem a winning ticket. Players of the Lottery’s instant-win terminal Fast Play games won $899,617 in prizes in June. Fast Play winning tickets can be claimed up to 90 days following the closure of the game.
