Hosston Woman Claims $100,000 Money Tree Top Prize
Hartsell decided to purchase two more Money Tree tickets after winning a smaller prize on the first ticket she purchased. She said she felt her knees buckle as she scratched the ticket and saw that she had won a top prize.
"The feeling is indescribable," she said. "I wanted to cry and scream at the same time."
Hartsell said she plans to use her winnings to help her mother. "I am just so thankful," said Hartsell. "Even if it wasn't me who won, I always like to see people win that really need it and can appreciate it."
Money Tree is one of three holiday games being offered by the Lottery. It has a top prize of $100,000. With up to 15 chances to win on each ticket, the game has two top prizes remaining as of Nov. 29.
Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket. For security purposes, the Lottery also encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
