Colfax Resident Claims Final Boo Bucks Top Prize

John Slayton of Colfax had a reason to smile after he claimed the final $13,000 top prize from the Louisiana Lottery's Boo Bucks scratch-off game. 

"I just had a feeling the game was about to end," explained Slayton.  "So I decided to purchase a ticket."

Slayton, age 55, purchased his winning scratch-off from Cougar Stop on Highway 167 in Dry Prong.  He plans to use his winnings to make repairs on his home. 

Boo Bucks is a $2 game that features the chance to win 10 times on each ticket. The game closed on Jan. 25 after all top prizes from the game were claimed.  Players have until May 25 to claim any outstanding prizes from Boo Bucks.

Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket.  Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchasing.
