Berwick Resident Claims $10,000 Powerball Prize from July 16 Drawing

When Nancy Cantrell of Berwick purchased her Powerball ticket for the July 16 drawing, the clerk at Tobacco Plus #15 in Cut Off told her it was going to be a winner. She was right.
Cantrell claimed a $10,000 Powerball prize at the Louisiana Lottery
Corporation headquarters in Baton Rouge. Her winning ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers drawn, plus the red Powerball number.
"I thought I only matched two numbers and the Powerball," said Cantell. "But when I went to a retailer to claim what I thought would be a $7 prize, he told me I would need to go to a Lottery office since it was a larger prize!"
The winning numbers for the July 16 drawing were 03-15-23-29-42 and the Powerball number was 17.
