Newlywed Enjoys Lottery Second-Chance Saints Game-Day Experience
Jude Armand's honeymoon was a little sweeter after winning a 2012 Saints Prize Package in the Louisiana Lottery's third I LOVE MY SAINTS second-chance drawing.
Armand's nonwinning scratch-off ticket was selected from among roughly 18,000 entries to win four Plaza Club Sideline tickets to the Dec. 16 Saints game against Tampa Bay in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome the day after he got married. His prize package also included pregame field passes, a parking pass, overnight hotel accommodations, a $200 dinner allotment and $500 spending cash.
To make the game, Armand and his new bride Rachel had to leave Bossier City at 1 a.m. after their wedding to get to New Orleans, but he said it was worth it.
"It was a busy weekend, but we enjoyed ourselves," he said. "It was a once in a lifetime experience, especially being on the field. We knew we probably wouldn't have the opportunity to do it again."
In addition to Armand's prize, 10 Official Autographed Saints Merchandise Prizes were also awarded during the second-chance drawing held Nov. 20. Genesia Allen of Ferriday, Billy Babineaux of Carencro and Joyce Moss of New Orleans each won an autographed Saints helmet. Mia Ben of Opelousas, Dolores A. Theriot of New Orleans and Jason St. Germain of Bossier City each won an autographed Saints jersey. John Killian of Downsville, Romona Matthews of Lafayette and Jean Israel of Picayune, Miss., each won an autographed football. April Tassin of St. Bernard won a pair of autographed Saints football gloves.
The Lottery reminds players that the deadline for its final I LOVE MY SAINTS second-chance drawing will be announced once the game is closed. During that drawing, one Saints 2013 Season Prize Package will be given away to include four Plaza Sideline 2013 Season Tickets, a 2013 parking pass, four 2013 pregame field passes, a tour of the Saints Practice Facility and lunch with the Saints head coach in the team cafeteria for up to four people.
To enter the final second-chance drawing, players should complete the information on the back of nonwinning $5 I LOVE MY SAINTS scratch-off tickets and mail one ticket per envelope no larger than 4.5" by 9.5" to the drawing address printed on the back of the ticket. The entry must arrive at the second-chance drawing address by the entry deadline, which will be announced once the game is closed, to be entered into the final drawing. Players can enter as many times as they wish, but each entry should be mailed in a separate envelope.
