Kenneth Marks of Breaux Bridge is on top of the world after claiming a $10,000 Powerball prize from the April 21 drawing at the Louisiana Lottery's Lafayette office last week.

"It feels great to win," said Marks, age 53. "I'm going to give half the money to my wife for a trip she's taking to New York, and I'm going to have some fun of my own with the other half!"

Marks' ticket matched four of the five white-ball numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number to win $10,000. The winning numbers for the April 21 drawing were 06-08-20-42-51 and the Powerball number was 16.

Marks, a regular Louisiana Lottery player, purchased his winning ticket from Green's Piggly Wiggly on Cecilia Sr. High Road in Cecilia. Marks shared that he plans to thank the clerk who sold him his winning ticket by giving her a small token of his appreciation.

Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age.
