"I play because it gives me something to think about," explained Biondolillo. "I think anyone who plays this game imagines what they will do with the money."
Biondolillo said he plans to use his winnings to create educational funds for his grandchildren and purchase a new truck for a family member.
"I'm very thankful and blessed that this money will not change my life," he shared. "It just gives me extra money to do things for other people who are important to me."
Biondolillo said he spends a total of $10 on Lotto, Powerball and scratch-off tickets every Wednesday and Saturday.
Vanessa's Discount on Hickory Avenue in Harahan sold Biondolillo his jackpot-winning ticket. The store will receive a bonus of $2,500, which is 1 percent of the prize, for selling the winning ticket. The winning numbers for the May 11 Lotto drawing were 02-11-13-24-25-29.
After federal and state taxes were withheld, Biondolillo received $175,000.
Lottery ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. Draw-style game tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
