Youngsville Woman Continues Lucky Streak with Lucky Gold Win

When Adea Nickerson's stepfather told her that 2010 would be a lucky year for her, she never imagined it would mean winning a $10,000 top prize from the Louisiana Lottery's Lucky Gold scratch-off ticket.
"My stepfather told me that this was going to be a good year for me," explained Nickerson, age 31. "First, I found out that I'm expecting, then I celebrated my golden birthday and now, I won $10,000!"Nickerson, who resides in Youngsville, shared that she usually enjoys playing the Lottery's bingo-style games, but she decided to give Lucky Gold a try instead. She purchased her top-prize winning scratch-off at Eddie's One Stop on West Veteran's Memorial Drive in Erath.
Lucky Gold is a $2 scratch-off that offers the chance to win up to 10 times on each ticket. There are two remaining top prizes as of Feb 28.
Persons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a Lottery ticket. Anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem are encouraged to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their ticket immediately after purchasing.
