When Joseph Landry returned home to Lafayette after a long day of work in Baton Rouge, the last thing he wanted to do was bring his daughter a Powerade.   At her request, however, the devoted father stopped to purchase one along with a scratch-off ticket.   Landry's stop paid off in a big way when he claimed a $15,000 top prize from the Lottery's $2 Triple Lucky Diamonds scratch-off.

"When I walked into the store, I saw the Triple Lucky Diamonds tickets shining at me through the dispenser and I just knew I had to get one," shared Landry, age 42.  "I bought one and I won $15,000!"

An excited Landry shared that he began making repairs around his home recently and plans to use his winnings to remodel another room.

Landry purchased his winning ticket at Valero Corner Store #365 on Moss Street in Lafayette.

Triple Lucky Diamonds is a $2 scratch-off game that offers players the chance to win up to $15,000. With 10 chances to win on each ticket, the game has two remaining top prizes as of Feb. 1.

According to Louisiana Lottery policy, a scratch-off game is closed and removed from sale when all of the top prizes for the game have been claimed. Winners have 90 days from the game closure date in which to claim their winnings.
