Study Break Pays Off for SLU Student
"It was about 2:30 in the morning when I checked the numbers," said Pfeiffer. "I just couldn't believe it!"
Pfeiffer, who is currently studying criminal justice and hopes to go to law school, plans to use his winnings to pay bills and paint his truck.
Circle K #9736 on North Highway 190 in Covington sold Pfeiffer his winning ticket, which he claimed at Lottery headquarters in Baton Rouge.
Pfeiffer's ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers drawn and the red Powerball number to win $10,000. The winning numbers for the Sept. 26 Powerball drawing were 18-20-34-36-39 and the Powerball number was 19.
