Being a U.S. Army veteran, the colors red, white and blue have always had a special place in Paul Rogers' heart. That's what prompted him to purchase the $2 Red White and Blue Cash scratch-off. He never dreamed his patriotism would win him $10,000 until he scratched the ticket and found the winning symbol.

"I saw the stack of cash symbol that meant I had won all 10 prizes," explained the 60-year-old Pearl River resident. "Then I scratched and saw all 10 prizes were $1,000!"

Rogers said he plans to use his winnings to fix his old cars and spoil his grandchildren.  He purchased his winning ticket at Jim's Circle Food Store on Highway 41 in Pearl River.
