Alaska Man Claims $100,000 Top Prize from Big Money Scratch-off

Jason Harris traveled all the way from Anchorage, Alaska, to visit his family in Louisiana over the holidays and received an extra present, the last $100,000 top prize from a Louisiana Lottery Big Money scratch-off.
Harris purchased his winning ticket from Express Way #687 on Highway 167 South in Bernice. He said it "feels great" to win and plans to pay bills with his winnings.
According to Louisiana Lottery policy, a scratch-off game is closed and removed from sale when all top prizes for the game have been claimed. All top prizes from Big Money have been claimed, and the game closed Jan. 6. The last day to redeem prizes from the game is May 1.
Players must be at least 21 years old to purchase a Lottery ticket. The Lottery encourages anyone who has a gambling problem or friends and family of anyone with a gambling problem to call toll-free 1-877-770-7867 for help. For security purposes, the Lottery also encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
