Placencio purchased her ticket from Jiffy Mart on Pumpkin Center Road in Hammond. She said she plans to use her winnings for Christmas shopping and paying bills.
Her ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers drawn and the red Powerball number. The Powerball numbers for the Sept. 24 drawing were 5-13-21-32-36 and the Powerball was 33.
