Charles Booksh Jr., age 57,  of Baton Rouge claimed a $10,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's headquarters as a result of a winning Powerball ticket from the Jan. 23 drawing.

"I was completely surprised! You've just got to take a chance!" said Booksh, who plans to save his winnings. 

To win his prize, Booksh's ticket matched four white ball numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number.  He purchased his winning ticket at Cracker Barrel #54 on South Foster Drive in Baton Rouge.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 23 Powerball drawing were 4-16-35-47-48 and the Powerball number was 39.
