William B. Logan III of Lake Charles claimed $10,000 at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Lafayette office from the Dec. 8 Powerball drawing.
"It's a good feeling to win!" said Logan, age 66, who plans to use his winnings to buy a dishwasher and a navigation system for his recreational vehicle.
Logan's ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number to win his prize. He purchased his ticket at Circle K #8344 on S. Jefferson Road in Lake Charles.
The winning numbers for the Dec. 8 drawing were 4-8-25-29-31 and the Powerball number was 41. Logan said he used a combination of family birthdays and anniversaries in choosing his Powerball numbers.
