Metairie Resident Claims $10,000 Powerball Prize

Armando Zuniga of Metairie claimed a $10,000 prize at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans office as a result of a winning Powerball ticket from the Oct. 27 drawing.
Zuniga's ticket matched four white balls drawn plus the red Powerball to win his prize. He said the numbers he chose were family birthdays.
"This is pretty good," said Zuniga, age 67. "I'm going to keep on playing!"
He purchased his winning ticket at Roosevelt Shell on W. Metairie Avenue in Kenner. The winning numbers for the Oct. 27 Powerball drawing were 13-25-30-40-43 and the Powerball number was 12.
