Willie Lipe of Effie claimed $10,000 at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's Alexandria office as a result of a winning Powerball ticket from the Oct. 17 drawing.

"It feels great to win," said Lipe, age 71.  His ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number to win his prize.

He purchased his winning ticket at Circle K #2843 on Monroe Highway in Pineville.  Lipe's winning ticket was a "quick pick," meaning his numbers were generated by the Lottery's computer.

The winning numbers for the Oct. 17 Powerball drawing were 14-15-19-42-46 and the Powerball number was 37.
