Jerry R. Moore Jr. of Harahan claimed $20,028 at the Louisiana Lottery Corporation's New Orleans office from the Sept. 26 Powerball drawing.

"It feels good to win!" said Moore, age 43.  He said he plans to use his winnings to pay for college.

Moore's Powerball ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers plus the red Powerball number to win $10,000.  When Moore purchased his winning ticket at Sav N Time on Jefferson Highway in Harahan, he added the Power Play option to his ticket for an additional $1. When the Power Play number "2" was selected during the drawing, his winnings were multiplied by two, for a total prize of $20,000 on that ticket.

He also won smaller prizes on two other Powerball tickets.  On one, he matched two of the white ball numbers plus the Powerball to win $7, and the other ticket matched three of the white ball numbers to win $7.  He purchased the Power Play option on both of those tickets, bringing his total prize to $20,028 for all three tickets.

The winning numbers for the Sept. 26 drawing were 25-27-31-44-54 and the Powerball number was 8.
