On April 4, the Louisiana Lottery Corporation began its countdown to naming another Lottery millionaire. Five finalists were selected randomly from more than 250,000 entries for the $1,000,000 Spectacular Second-Chance Drawing to occur during intermission at the free Live After Five concert in downtown Baton Rouge on April 27.

The finalists are: Valrie Blalock of St. Augustine, Fla.; Wyatt James Newton of Blountstown, Fla.; Shelia M. Bernard-Charles of Lafayette; Joseph Miller of Lake Charles; and Kelly Danna of Independence.

Lottery players had from May 9, 2005 until April 2, 2007 to send in nonwinning $1,000,000 Spectacular scratch-off tickets for a chance to win the $1 million dollar top prize.

Hosted by E! Entertainment red carpet interviewer and popular game show host Todd Newton, the drawing will occur April 27 at 6:30 p.m. during the Live After Five concert, featuring the band After 8, in Galvez Plaza in downtown Baton Rouge.

During the drawing , one finalist will win $1 million prize and each of the other four finalists will win $5,000. The $1 million prize is an annuity payable in 20 annual installments of $50,000. The winner also has the option of choosing a single cash payment of $670,000. All prizes are subject to required withholdings.
