BATON ROUGE – Krystel Sirias of Baton Rouge received a Thanksgiving surprise after her father checked her Louisiana Lottery Lotto ticket the morning after the Nov. 22 drawing and saw that she won the $550,000 jackpot prize.

“My father said he had something important to tell me and waited about five minutes before he said anything,” said Sirias. “I didn’t know if the news was good or bad, and was absolutely shocked when he told me the ticket was the jackpot winner.”

The 25-year-old’s winning ticket matched all six numbers to win the $550,000 Lotto jackpot prize, which she claimed Monday at Louisiana Lottery headquarters. The winning numbers were 02-08-14-27-35-39.

Sirias received $385,000 after state and federal tax withholdings. She plans to use a portion of her winnings to purchase a home and vehicle.

The winning ticket was sold at Circle K #4302 on Coursey Boulevard in Baton Rouge. The store received a one-time selling bonus of $5,500, which is 1 percent of the prize.
