Lifelong Saints Fan and Recent Retiree Wins VIP Tour and Season Tickets in Second-Chance Drawing

When Judy Joseph of New Iberia retires this month, one of her biggest plans is to enjoy premium seats and pregame field passes for every 2015 season home game of the New Orleans Saints, courtesy of the Louisiana Lottery.
Joseph's nonwinning SAINTS scratch-off was selected from more than 15,000 entries in the Lottery's final second-chance drawing on April 30, scoring her a prize package that included the four season Plaza Sideline tickets, pregame field passes to watch the players warm up before the games and a parking pass. Also as part of her prize, Joseph and three family members received a private tour of the New Orleans Saints practice facility during the team's June 17 mini camp, where the foursome watched the team practice from the owner’s balcony and enjoyed lunch in the team cafeteria.
Joseph said she has been playing the Saints-themed scratch-offs since the Lottery partnership began six years ago. "[There’s] no other team," exclaimed Joseph who said she's been a Saints-only football fan since middle school. "I'm from Louisiana, and you need to support your Louisiana team."
The Lottery launched the $5 scratch-off SAINTS last year as part of a strategic alliance with the New Orleans Saints. In addition to the drawing in which Joseph won her prize, three earlier second-chance drawings associated with the scratch-off were conducted last fall, where Lottery players who submitted nonwinning SAINTS scratch-offs for the chance to win gameday prize packages and official autographed Saints merchandise.
"My husband would always tell me, 'You’re wasting your time doing the second-chance drawing,'" Joseph teased. "We can prove him wrong now!"
The SAINTS scratch-off closed March 27, and instant-win prizes from the game must be claimed by July 25. The Lottery plans to announce its 2015 Saints-themed scratch-off SAINTS FEVER on Aug. 10. More information on the game will be available on the Lottery’s website at that time.
Lottery ticket purchasers and second-chance drawing entrants must be at least 21 years of age. For security purposes, the Lottery encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchase.
