The Louisiana Lottery held the second of four promotional "Lotto Lagniappe" raffle drawings from 191,220 promotional entry tickets generated when customers purchased a $5 single-draw Lotto ticket in April. In all, seven Lotto Lagniappe raffle numbers drawn last night won $60,000 in cash prizes.

"With a rolling cash jackpot that starts at $250,000, Lotto has enjoyed ongoing success as Louisiana's flagship in-state game," said Lottery President Rose Hudson. "We're giving our players even more reasons to love Lotto during our Lotto Lagniappe promotion by offering free bonus entries into a raffle drawing for additional cash prizes."

During the second drawing, the $50,000 Lotto Lagniappe prize was won by raffle number 0497295 which was purchased at Causeway Shell on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie. The $5,000 prize was won by raffle number 0486865, which was purchased at J & R Quick Stop on West St. Bernard Highway in Chalmette. Lotto Lagniappe drawing results are also available on the Lottery's website, and via retailer Lottery ticket terminals.

As with all Lottery draw-style games, prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing at any Louisiana Lottery office. Original entry tickets are needed to claim any prize.

The Lottery's Lotto Lagniappe promotion continues through June 30, 2014. During this time, when players purchase a single-draw $5 Lotto ticket, they'll get a little something extra – an entry into a raffle drawing worth up to $50,000 cash. With each eligible $5 single-draw Lotto ticket purchase, a second "entry" ticket will print with a unique raffle number good for the next monthly Lotto Lagniappe drawing. Lotto Lagniappe entry tickets will feature a unique seven-digit raffle number which must match exactly a winning number drawn to win a prize.

"With eligible purchases, Lotto players will get their Lotto ticket plus a bonus entry ticket for the Lotto Lagniappe raffle, so be sure to look for two tickets," Hudson reminded players.

Each Lotto Lagniappe entry is good for one draw date, which is printed on the entry ticket. Two monthly drawings remain and will be held on the first of the months of June and July from entries generated during the previous month.

The following Lotto Lagniappe prizes will be awarded during each drawing: one winning number worth $50,000, one winning number worth $5,000 and five winning numbers worth $1,000. In total, seven winners of an additional $60,000 in prizes will be awarded each month of the promotion.

Odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of Lotto Lagniappe entry tickets generated during each drawing entry period. Complete game and promotional rules can be found in the Lotto and Lotto Lagniappe directives on the Lottery's website.

Ticket purchasers must be at least 21 years of age. For security purposes, the Lottery strongly encourages players to sign the back of their tickets immediately after purchasing.
