Lottery Launches New Website

In February, the Lottery launched a brand new website with improved functionality, upgraded features and a cleaner, more sophisticated design. The navigation and graphics educate players on how to play Lottery games, highlight winners and feature promotional opportunities around the state.
The latest winning numbers and jackpot information are quickly accessible and much easier to read through a pop-up window by clicking on the horn icon located on the homepage and the draw-style game detail pages. Players can also click the Winning Numbers main navigational link to see previous winning numbers.
Other highlights include an improved events calendar (under the Promotions link); a visual map-based find-a-retailer tool (Where to Play); social media share icons; one-stop-shop draw-game pages where players can learn to play, find winning numbers, check their numbers, view big winners and get answers to questions without ever leaving the page. Web video, which has become a primary web-based marketing medium, is also more seamlessly integrated and utilized within the site.
“It's been about nine years since we last updated our website,” said Communications Manager Kimberly Chopin. “In that time, web technology and best practices have grown by leaps and bounds. Moving to a new website enables the Lottery to better serve our mission and our players.”
“Even when change is good, we know it can be hard,” Chopin added. “Frequent visitors to the site may get frustrated at first since they've grown accustomed to looking for information in certain places. We encourage players to take time to explore the changes and contact the Lottery with any questions or feedback.”
To fully experience updated features, including the site's dimensional design, mouse hovers and maps, make sure you have the most up-to-date version of your chosen web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome).
