Theresa Gallien of Lafayette should be thankful for the good night's sleep she got Saturday June 13. She might not have been able to sleep at all if she had stayed up to watch the Easy 5 drawing that night since her ticket matched all five of the winning numbers to win the jackpot.
"I thought the jackpot was $50,000," explained Gallien, age 61. "Then my son told me that it was actually $125,634!"
Gallien received $87,943 after federal and state tax withholdings. She purchased her winning ticket at Valero Corner Store #365 on Moss Street in Lafayette. The store received a $1,256 bonus for selling Gallien her winning ticket. |
