Jean Goodwin's boyfriend got into the Valentine's Day spirit a little early when he bought her a $14,000 top-prize winning Wild Hearts scratch-off, which she claimed at the Louisiana Lottery's Shreveport office.
"He said he bought the ticket because it has hearts on it for love," said Goodwin, age 41. "It feels awesome to win!"
Goodwin, who is a resident of Shreveport, said she plans to buy a car with her winnings. Her winning ticket was purchased at Circle K #8178 on Jefferson-Paige in Shreveport.
Wild Hearts is a $2 scratch-off game that offers players the chance to win up to $14,000. With up to 10 chances to win on each ticket, the game has two remaining top prizes as of Jan. 20.
